Robert Householder passed away on January 27, 2017 in Springfield, OR.  He was 87 years old.

He was born March 14, 1929 in Portland, OR to Wilfred and Gertha Householder and lived in the Portland area while growing up.  He graduated from Jefferson High School where he met Shirley Yost, they married in 1949 and lived in Mt. Clemens, Michigan while Bob was in the Air Force until moving back to Portland where their three kids were born, David, Thomas and Susan.  This marriage ended in 1965 and a few years later, Robert married Dorothy Cook.  They lived in Medford, OR where their son, Eric was born.

Bob had a few different jobs as a Salemsman until he decided to go out on his own and became owner of a grocery store in Phoenix, OR, then relocated to Medford.  He transitioned his business over the years and he was very successful until he sold his business and retired.  During this time he and Dorothy divorced and he has remained with Aline DeNoyer for the past 35 years.  Together they lived in Medford, OR and spend the winters in California in their second home on a golf course.  They played golf together for many years and enjoyed this very much.

Bob and Aline were currently living in Eugene, OR when he passed.  He is survivied by three of his four children, Dave, Susan and Eric, their spouses respectively, Beccie, Scott and Pam.  Tom predeceased him in 2011, as did his wife MaryEllen in 2015.  He has 12 grandchildren; Chris, Nathan, Anna, Sam, Emily, Andrea, Jordan, Jesse, Brian, Kevin, Alyssa and Julia, and 5 great grandchildren.  His longtime companion Aline DeNoyer survives him as well as her children who were like his own; Melissa, Cindy and Mark, their spouses and children, grandchildren.

Our dad was loved very much by his entire family and will be greatly missed by all of us.
