Mark Britton O’Neal was born to Jack King O’Neal Jr. and Virginia Claire al-Rubaie on January 14, 1982 in St. Augustine, Florida. At the age of 4 his family moved to Portland, Oregon where he lived until moving to Utah, and then back to Oregon.
Mark attended Sacramento Elementary School, Parkrose Middle School, and High School, before moving to Oregon City where he completed high school.
Mark was an avid sports fan. He was very competitive playing basketball, soccer, and baseball.
At the age of 18 Mark went to work for Ditch Witch where he started out in the shipping department. He worked his way up to the parts department and then moved to the Seattle area becoming a branch manager for the company. Mark took a sales position in the Portland office around 2012 bringing him closer to his family.
Mark had a great zest for life and he loved and adored his family and friends. He loved getting together for family functions especially if food was involved. He had a big heart and was loyal to a fault.
Mark met Cathy in middle school where they began a friendship that lasted through the years. He reconnected with Cathy in 2013 when they built a life and family together settling in Oregon City after buying their first home.
Mark is survived by Cathy; daughters, Lili and Stella; son Matthew, his parents Ginny Hogan and her husband Sean; father Jack O’Neal and his wife Karen; brothers Jack, Dan, Adam, and Colton; sister, MacKinzee; step-brothers, Brandon and Connor; step-sister Shara; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and other extended family.
