Debbie Ann HenshawJuly 7, 1959 ~ September 11, 2017 (age 58)
The good Lord, through his everlasting love, offered his hand out to Debbie and gently guided her into his Kingdom on September 11, 2017.
Debbie was born in Medford, Oregon on July 7th, 1959 to Myrtle (Rambo) and Gene Henshaw. She moved, with her parents, to Portland, Oregon in August of 1959, and spent her entire life in Oregon.
Debbie graduated from Marshall High School in Portland and continued her education and work experience, eventually going to work for Hippo Hardware in Portland in 1993. During her time at Hippo Hardware, she worked her way up to Hardware Department Manager and helped to develop the iconic “Hippo” brand worldwide. Steve Miller and the “Hippo Family” were a very important part of her life.
Just as Hippo Hardware’s products and culture are eclectic, Debbie’s tastes, artistic creations, sense of humor, and lifestyle could only be described as eclectic. She created beautiful paintings and stained glass works of art. She adored cats, always making one or two comfortable and loved in her life.
Debbie had two special friends, Daniel Hutchison and Larry King. All three had common interests and always enjoyed each other’s company. And when comfort and support were needed they were there for one another. For the last seven years they were gracious enough to rent her an apartment and share their home with her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Henshaw, sister Jennifer Sparks and brother Greg Harsha.
Debbie is survived by her father, Gene (Lynnette Harsha) Henshaw, sister Sharon Harness, brothers Greg (Valerie Gomes) Henshaw, Doug (Danielle Barr) Henshaw and Brett Harsha, nephews and nieces Jamie Harness, Adam (Shannon) Harness, Katie (Cervantes) Sparks, Jessica (Daudi) Trent, Chris (Amy) Sparks, Andrew (Katrina) Harsha, Madeleine Harsha, James Harsha, Ivy Harness, Kelly Smith, Bella Trent, Jackson Sparks, Jeneva Sparks and numerous cousins and lifelong friends.

The Family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the “Pixie Project” (for cats) in Portland.
Internment services will be held at a later date in Butte Falls, Oregon.
